日頭落山了後，佇府城發生的代誌。

以常民舞蹈風格及深度耕掘臺南故事為創作鮮明特色的雞屎藤舞蹈劇場，在2020臺南藝術節將引領觀眾尋著夜色，踏查臺南的三段鄉野奇譚：府城最強女鬼—陳守娘、洲仔尾古墓石馬精傳說，以及日治時期奇情新聞事件〈臺南運河奇案〉。在常民臺語達人盧志杰所飾演的直播主抽絲剝繭之下與「三牲獻藝」的臺式混種電音碰撞出臺南鄉野奇譚新風景。

After the sun sets, unusual events are happening in Tainan…

Known for using folk-based dance styles and legends that spring from the history and people of Tainan to create fresh and distinctive productions, Fevervine Dance Theatre will lead audiences in search of what goes “bump in the night” as part Tainan Arts Festival 2020.  Local folklore from Tainan is recounted in the guise of three ghost stories: the story of Chen Shouniang, Tainan’s most powerful female ghost; the stone horse legend of Zheng Qiren’s tomb in Zhou Zai Wei and the “Curious Case of the Tainan Canal” as reported in the news during the period of Japanese rule in Taiwan. Story narration and exposition will be broadcast live by Taiwanese language expert MC JJ, while the musical score will feature Taiwanese-inspired electronic music produced by Sam-seng-hiàn-gē, thereby offering a fresh backdrop to these popular folk tales.

「我們是雞屎藤，為各位帶來府城的故事。」「雞屎藤」為臺灣在地植物，是一味治療肚痛風寒的草藥，以「雞屎藤」為名即是期待其創作與常民生活一點也不疏離！作品多耕掘臺灣風土與城市記憶，建構具「臺灣性」與「人文感」的舞蹈劇場美學，近年多於非劇場空間演出，如古蹟、廟口與美術館等，建立鮮明的展演特色，風靡各階層觀眾。

‘We’re Fevervine Dance Theatre and we tell you stories of Tainan!’

“Fevervine” is a plant native to Taiwan that is used to treat stomach pains. As the name “Fevervine” implies, our works are close to the daily lives of ordinary people and aim to discover the traditions, the customs and the collective memories of the Taiwanese in order to construct an aesthetic of dance and theatre that conveys the Taiwanese characters and culture. In recent years, instead of theatres, we often perform in public places such as heritage sites, squares in front the temples and galleries. We have established our distinctive style that enchants audience of all ages.
