Audience members are led on a fantastic journey down memory lane as barbershop and grooming experts are on hand to share their experiences and offer actors and the audience haircuts and more.

臺南是全台灣理容院密度最高的城市，這個城市曾經聚集一群時髦的紳士，這些隱藏在城市巷內的理容院，存在著黃金年代的縮影。這是一間即將歇業的理容院─「香蘭男子電棒燙」。兩張隨時可以躺平的電動椅子，頭髮灰白的老闆翹腳坐在櫃檯裡面，電動椅上躺著店裡唯一一位理容師傅。某天，突然一位小夥子推開店裡厚重的木門，「不好意思，請問你們徵人嗎？」理容院老闆、老師傅、菜鳥學徒、各式上門有奇怪問題的客人們重新開啟「香蘭男子電棒燙」昔日老紳士日常。

「進門的第一步驟，擦鞋！」

Tainan has the highest concentration of barbershops of any city in Taiwan. In the past, these barbershops were the gathering place for groups of fashionably dressed and styled gentlemen. The barbershops, hidden among the city’s alleyways, were an epitome of the city’s golden age. A Barber Shop was close to going out of business. Inside were found the shop’s two reclining barber chairs. The shop’s sole barber could often be seen reclining on one chair, while the owner sat behind the desk, feet propped up. One day, the shop’s heavy wooden doors opened and a young man entered. He asked, “Excuse me, are you looking to hire anyone?” So started the story of a barbershop owner, a barber, their new help, and a wide cast of new customers with unusual problems. The result is a barbershop that has recaptured some of its past glory.

◎ 製作團隊 Production Team

三位青年以三房一廳的公寓為創作基地，以斜槓起家的創作人生，以劇場自由業的身份在社會中過活（走跳）。畢業於臺南大學戲劇創作與應用學系（朱怡文、林謙信）及臺南大學戲劇所（周韋廷）三位創作者帶著所學以及各自有不同領域的經驗， 包括導演、演員以及音樂設計。在創作路上恣意遊玩，亦嘗試將戲劇運用在地方、社會以及藝術教育之中。我們深知，在當代的社會，要養活自己需要不斷地去斜槓自己的人生。但也因此，我們獲得更多機會與許多不同質地的社群、地方合作，碰撞出不同的火花。我們的創作中總是無可避免與生活、生存有強烈的連結，我們踩在島嶼中恣意生長。創作的核心叩問是： 如何當地、 如何當下、 如何真實、 如何好好地玩，如何去簡單又誠懇說好一個故事。

Slashie with youth  

Three youth, living and creating in a three-bedroom apartment, living in society as free-spirited performance artists, creators in multiple disciplines. Graduates from National University of Tainan Department of Drama Creation and Application (Yi-wen, Chu and Chien-Hsin, Lin) and National University of Tainan Graduate Institute of Drama/Theatre (Wei-Ting, Chou), we bring to the table not only what we’ve learned in school, but each member’s experience in fields that include directing, acting, and musical composer. Playing freely on the creative path, we look to use drama in local, social and art education. We deeply understand that in order to survive in a modern society, you have to continuously and concurrently work in multiple professions or careers. But, because of this, we’ve enjoyed many opportunities to create artistic magic in partnership with different communities and locales. In our creative process, there is always a strong connection with daily life and existence, and we enjoy the freedom of Taiwan to create, investigate, and grow. The core question in our creative process is: How to locally, timely, truthfully, playfully, simply, and honestly tell a story?    ​

＊每場演出共12張票券，分兩階段發售，第一階段(9/2-9/22)為早鳥購票68折優惠，限量6張；第二階段(9/23後)開放其他剩餘票券，相關折扣請參考臺南藝術節優惠活動。

＊12 tickets are available for each performance, which are sold over two periods. Purchasing tickets during the first period (9/2-9/22) gives an early bird discount of 32% off the ticket price (limited to six tickets). During the second period (dates on/after 9/23), all unsold tickets will be available for purchase. For relevant discounts during this period, please refer to the promotion details for the Tainan Arts Festival.​
