The Last Dinner, the first work of Voleur du Feu Theatre’s “Suspense Trilogy” and the troupe’s 21st original Chinese work, will premiere at Tainan Arts Festival 2020 under special invitation of the Xinying Cultural Center.

Peering into the dark abyss of human nature.

盜火劇團團長劉天涯開啟類型寫作計畫:「懸疑三部曲」,此計畫將一脈相承劉天涯劇本中的日常語言風格,以懸疑性作為主要創作目標,內容指向「人性」,題材緊扣當代題材及都市人的心理,意圖創作出不同以往的寫作風格。

懸疑首部曲《幽靈晚餐》以臺灣民間傳說—在空中漂流的「幽靈船」作為靈感來源。「90年代傳聞臺灣某地自從發生一場大火之後,城市上空便停著一艘幽靈船,等待足夠數目的幽靈上船之後才會開走。這是一則令人恐懼的都市傳說,卻也不得不承認,它隱隱帶有某種詩意……」

《幽靈晚餐》故事描述四位十年未見的老同學,接到一封神秘的邀請函,前往切爾西餐廳聚會。四人在高中時,都曾是「十木戲劇社」的成員,在談笑風生中,四人回憶起今晚缺席的朋友杜小亞。

他們共同擁有的那段「秘密」,隨著這場聚會的進行逐漸被揭開,發送神秘邀請函的人,到底是誰?是怎樣的機遇,讓他們在十年後重逢?這四人今晚的命運,究竟何去何從?

Voleur du Feu Theatre director Liu Tianya launched a genre writing project entitled “Suspense Trilogy.” Although the project inherited the language style of Liu’s other scripts, the intention was the creation of new stylistic form of writing. The building of suspense is the project’s main creative goal. Its content revolves around human nature, while its subject matter hews to various contemporary themes and the psychology of urbanities.

The Last Dinner stands as the first work in Liu’s creative trilogy and is inspired by the Taiwan folktale of the flying ghost ship. “In the 90s, it was rumored that after a fire broke out somewhere in Taiwan, a ghost ship appeared in the sky. After waiting for a sufficient number of souls to board, it flew away. This is a frightening urban legend. However, I have to admit, one that is also a bit poetic….”

The Last Dinner tells the story of four classmates who have not seen each other for over a decade. All of them suddenly receive a mysterious invitation to meet at Chelsea restaurant. When in high school, the four were members of the Totoki Drama Club. With stories and laughter, they remember their other good friend, Du Xiaoya, who is absent that night.

As the night progresses, the secret they all share is slowly revealed. Who sent the mysterious invitations? Why have the friends been reunited after so many years? What fate awaits them tonight?

盜火劇團由留法導演謝東寧於2013年所創立,效法希臘神話英雄普羅米修斯「盜火」造福人類。盜火劇團企圖以劇場力量,走入人群、影響社會。在創作方面,主要開發本土觀點之原創劇本,並以跨領域為表現形式。期待透過劇場,能夠反映社會真實、土地情感,並以全球的視野觀看,屬於華人生活的劇場圖像。本團入選為文化部105、106年度、國藝會107年度「演藝團隊分級獎助計畫」育成級、國藝會108、109年度「演藝團隊年度獎助專案」。https://www.voldufeu.com/

Voleur du Feu Theatre

Voleur du Feu Theatre was founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Tung-Ning Hsieh. The name of the company was inspired by the Greek myth, in which Prometheus stole fire from Zeus to benefit human beings, aiming to bring the warmth through theatre works into the public. It predominantly focuses on producing new creations with ethnic Chinese perspectives in interdisciplinary art forms, aiming to respond to territory, emotion, identity and social reality. The artistic approach of the company has attempted to integrate to the trend of world theatre, presenting the company rooted in locality yet shaped by global vision.

Quanta Arts Foundation

In 2010, the chairman of Quanta Computer, Mr. Barry Lam, assembled a group of prominent cultural gurus to become the board members of QAF. It ¬was marked the beginning of QAF, which focuses on promoting performing arts and embodying "trans-art concepts."

QAF intends to create a Renaissance in the Chinese society of a new era through a series of "trans-art" concepts, including encouraging and promoting creativity, technology and performing arts, and cross-strait cultural exchanges.

*演出無中場休息,遲到或中途離席的觀眾於演出中再入場,需依服務人員安排入座適當區域

*演出時同步錄影場次:11/21(六)14:30

*退、換票最遲須於演出日10天前辦理,酌收票價10%手續費,逾期恕不受理

因應嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎(COVID-19)疫情,欣賞演出請全程配戴口罩並留意保持適當社交距離,並請配合各演出進場之防疫相關必要措施。
