國姓爺鄭成功出兵臺灣，因風雨受困海上，食物匱乏。得神明託夢指示撒魚網捕魚，果然得魚，解決困境。部將馬信進言，因鹿耳門為淺灘，加上海底為鐵板沙，易守難攻，故荷蘭人駐兵不多，若藉由漲潮登上鹿耳門，可收取熱蘭遮城、普羅民遮城。鄭成功採取馬信建議，果然收回二城。百姓歡迎鄭成功軍隊，軍民同樂之時，由當地名廚進魚，此魚正是鄭成功受困海上時所捕得之魚。國姓爺問起百姓此為何魚，百姓告知乃虱目魚，並獻上各種虱目魚料理，改稱其「國姓魚」，以記錄該段事蹟於後世。而箇中美味令鄭成功念念不忘，命人筆記流傳，從此國姓魚好滋味得以保留，成為臺南古都特色之美食。

When Zheng Cheng-Gong, or Koxinga, sent his army to Taiwan, they ran out of food and got stuck on the sea. The god told him in his dream to catch the fishes, which helped them with the food problem. After Koxinga took over Fort Zeelandia and Fort Provintia, people welcomed him and gave him a feast in which the fish were exactly the same as those they had eaten at sea. Hence, this fish got its name Koxin Fish, which became later a typical delicacy of Tainan.

■ 演出團隊簡介

「全西園掌中劇團」洪啟文團長，為彰化員林「世界派──全世界掌中劇團」團長洪國禎先生之子、拜小西園掌中劇團許王藝師為師。劇團創團以來，除致力保存推廣傳統布袋戲藝術以外，更積極培養布袋戲藝術新進人才、嘗試新創作演出。曾榮獲臺北市傑出演藝團隊、臺北市藝文推廣處大稻埕戲苑駐館團隊、國立傳統藝術中心「輔導戲曲後場人才駐團演訓計畫」團隊等殊榮。未來更期許結合更多元化之元素，為傳統布袋戲賦予新風貌、新價值。

Led by Hong Qi-Wen, Quan Xi Yuan Puppet Theatre is dedicated to preserving and to promoting traditional glove puppetry theatre. In addition, they strive to educate potential talents and to innovate their performances. They hope to bring new looks and values to glove puppetry theatre.
